When history calls, Pastor Kyev P. Tatum, Sr. answers with faith, courage, and commitment. Pastor, publisher, producer, programmer, and community advocate, Pastor Tatum has become one of the leading voices keeping Black military history alive while strengthening families and communities in need.
This year marks a major milestone in his lifelong mission.
A Historic Appointment.
Brother and Sister Randall and Debra Christian have appointed Pastor Tatum as the first president of the Randall D. Christian, Sr., Buffalo Soldiers International.
This new international chapter is not just an organization—it is a movement built on one guiding principle:
“One For All and All For One.”
Its mission is simple and powerful:
To promote, preserve, and protect the military legacy of the Christian Family and the Buffalo Soldiers.
Pastor Tatum’s appointment reflects his long record of honoring Black veterans, uplifting communities, and telling the stories that history tried to forget.
The Christian Family Legacy
The Christian Family has deep roots in Texas history. Their legacy includes military service, civic leadership, and community impact stretching back generations—from State Representative Gideon Christian to the descendants who continue this work today.
By choosing Pastor Tatum to lead this international chapter, the family affirms his dedication to:

A Pastor with Many Callings

• Producer of projects like Hope in an Envelope and Souls Made of Gold
• Programmer creating youth and workforce models like the Resilience Responders
• Advocate for the Buffalo Soldiers, the 369th Infantry, and the 6888th Battalion
• Organizer restoring neglected Black cemeteries
• Visionary behind Skills City, USA and the Inner City Coffee Exchange
He brings together faith, history, and community action in a way few leaders can.
Global Vision, Local Impact
The Randall D. Christian, Sr., Buffalo Soldiers International chapter will begin in Texas but reach around the world. Under Pastor Tatum’s leadership, the chapter will launch:
• Buffalo Soldiers heritage tours
• Educational programs for schools and churches
• Preservation projects for Black military cemeteries
• Youth leadership academies grounded in service and discipline
• Faith-based cultural exchanges
