A new chicken coop is being built at New Mount Rose, and the only way to describe it is pure royalty!
Brother José and Sister Soledad Perez have put their hands, heads, and hearts together to design and build something truly special for the children of the New Mount Rose Buffalo Soldiers 4-H Club, under the leadership of Brother David and Sister Aracely Ramos.
Together with Pastor and Sister Tatum, we are teaching our children the principles found in 1 Peter 2:9:
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…”
Our children come from America, South America, and Africa. We are teaching them that God is not focused on the color of their skin or the country from which they come—He is focused on their godly character. They are chosen. They are royal. They belong to God, and they were created to serve His purpose.
With leadership and support from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Prairie View A&M University’s College of Agriculture and Human Sciences, Dr. Spencer and Jennifer Smith, Cook Children’s Health Plan, and the Texas Small Farmers and Ranchers Community-Based Organization, New Mount Rose is getting back to our roots:
“Rearing Our Own to Succeed While Raising Our Own to Serve.”
