Before there is manifestation, there is preparation.

Before people see what God is doing through you, God often spends years working in you.

And sometimes God does not just prepare a person.

God prepares a couple.

He prepares two hearts.

Two servants.

Two testimonies.

Two sets of hands.

Two people who eventually discover that their marriage is not only about building a life together—it is also about answering a calling together.

That is the story of David and Aracely Ramos.

They are Servants Sent From the Savior—a husband-and-wife missionary team whom we believe God sent to New Mount Rose to love, serve, teach, mentor, and minister to children and families in Morningside.

But here is what makes their story powerful:

THEY ARE TRUSTING THE PROMISE MORE THAN THE PROCESS.

Because the process does not always look like the promise.

The process can be painful.

The process can be slow.

The process can be confusing.

The process can make you question what God showed you.

The process can make you wonder whether the promise will ever come to pass.

But faith says:

Their manifestation did not begin when people started noticing their work.

It began during the years when God was preparing them for the work.

Prayer before the platform.
Preparation before the promotion.
Service before the spotlight.
Faithfulness before the fruit.
Obedience before the opportunity.
Preparation before the manifestation.

What people see today did not begin today.

There were prayers nobody heard.

There were sacrifices nobody saw.

There were children being loved when nobody was watching.

There were long days.

Difficult moments.

Lessons learned.

Responsibilities accepted.

Disappointments endured.

And moments when walking away would have been easier than continuing to walk by faith.

But they kept going.

Why?

Because they trusted the Promise more than the process.

GOD WAS PREPARING DAVID.

God was developing:

The servant.

The protector.

The mentor.

The husband.

The father figure.

The missionary.

GOD WAS PREPARING ARACELY.

God was developing:

The servant.

The nurturer.

The teacher.

The encourager.

The wife.

The missionary.

And while God was preparing David, God was preparing Aracely.

Then God brought their gifts, experiences, hearts, testimonies, and service together for a purpose greater than either of them individually.

The vision came before the visibility.

The work came before the recognition.

The planting came before the harvest.

The preparation came before the manifestation.

And then God sent them to Morningside.

Not simply to attend church.

TO SERVE.

Not simply to occupy seats.

TO TOUCH LIVES.

Not simply to talk about children.

TO POUR INTO CHILDREN.

Not simply to see the problems of the neighborhood.

TO BECOME PART OF GOD’S ANSWER IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

Through God’s Army Youth Ministry at New Mount Rose, David and Aracely are helping us rear our children, strengthen families, build relationships, and show young people what the love of Jesus Christ looks like when it puts on work clothes.

They are missionaries in Morningside.

Because missionaries do not always have to cross an ocean.

Sometimes the mission field is across the street.

Sometimes it is around the corner.

Sometimes it is a child who needs encouragement.

Sometimes it is a family that needs support.

Sometimes it is a neighborhood that needs somebody willing to stay, serve, sacrifice, love, teach, and believe.

That is why we call David and Aracely:

SERVANTS SENT FROM THE SAVIOR.

We don’t simply visualize the future—

WE WORK TOWARD IT.

We don’t merely speak about the vision—

WE SERVE THE VISION.

We don’t simply pray for children—

WE SHOW UP FOR CHILDREN.

We don’t just believe God can—

WE PREPARE OURSELVES FOR WHEN GOD DOES.

And when the process gets difficult—

WE TRUST THE PROMISE.

When the process gets painful—

WE TRUST THE PROMISE.

When the process takes longer than expected—

WE TRUST THE PROMISE.

When we cannot see what God is doing—

WE TRUST THE PROMISE.

Because sometimes what people call an overnight blessing is actually the manifestation of years of prayer, preparation, perseverance, sacrifice, service, and obedience.

David and Aracely:

Keep preparing.

Keep praying.

Keep serving.

Keep loving.

Keep teaching.

Keep reaching.

Keep pouring into our children.

Keep building God’s Army.

Keep serving Morningside.

And above all—

KEEP TRUSTING THE PROMISE MORE THAN THE PROCESS.

Because none of the preparation was wasted.

Every lesson had a purpose.

Every struggle had a purpose.

Every sacrifice had a purpose.

Every season had a purpose.

Every closed door had a purpose.

Every step was preparing you for another step.

And now we are beginning to understand:

GOD WAS PREPARING YOU

FOR WHAT HE WAS PREPARING FOR YOU.
