Yet every day, they make a difference.
They mentor young people.
They feed hungry families.
They encourage struggling neighbors.
They build businesses.
They strengthen churches.
They serve schools.
They create opportunities.
They inspire hope.
They are the people who make communities stronger.
Angels in the Hood is a communications network, media platform, and community movement dedicated to recognizing, celebrating, and sharing the stories of proven difference-makers who are transforming neighborhoods through faith, service, leadership, sacrifice, and love.
Headquartered in the BibleShop at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, Angels in the Hood exists to shine a light on the people who are quietly doing extraordinary work in ordinary places.
We don’t celebrate one-hit wonders.
We don’t spotlight people chasing fifteen minutes of fame.
We celebrate people whose commitment has been proven over time.
People who have shown up consistently.
People who have produced real results.
People whose work has strengthened lives, families, neighborhoods, organizations, and communities.

Our mission is not simply to celebrate Angels in the Hood.
Our mission is to birth more Angels in the Hood.
Through podcasting, community television, radio broadcasting, digital storytelling, community journalism, and neighborhood engagement, we are changing the narrative by focusing on what is right with our communities rather than what is wrong.
Because every hood has angels.
Every angel has a story worth telling.
And every story has the power to inspire another Angel to rise.
