THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF GOD’S HANDYMEN. Nehemiah 4:6

The official launch of God’s Handymen will take place during the After the Fire BBQ & Fellowship on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Spanish Hacienda Apartments, 1212 Lowden Road at Mississippi Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.

This special gathering will bring together impacted families, volunteers, churches, businesses, community organizations, and neighbors as we begin the next phase of recovery and restoration following the devastating May 24, 2026 apartment fire.

The launch will serve as both a celebration of community resilience and a call to action for volunteers willing to help families rebuild their lives. Throughout the afternoon, God’s Handymen volunteers will coordinate furniture assembly projects, identify household needs, connect families with resources, and recruit additional volunteers for ongoing recovery efforts.

Guests will enjoy delicious food prepared by Chef Neke and The Abigayle Initiative, along with award-winning barbecue generously provided by Smoke-A-Holics BBQ and owner Derrick Walker.

More than a fellowship meal, this event marks the beginning of a community-wide movement dedicated to transforming loss into hope, empty apartments into homes, and tragedy into testimony.

We invite everyone to join us as we launch God’s Handymen and demonstrate what can happen when faith, compassion, and service come together for the good of our neighbors.
