A CALL FOR A CIRCLE OF COMPASSIONATE CHRISTIAN CARE Matthew 25:35
AN EMERGENCY DECLARATION OF FAITH, COMPASSION, AND COMMUNITY ACTION
FORT WORTH, TEXAS — In the wake of the devastating apartment fire that impacted families during the Memorial Day weekend, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church hereby issues a Call to Care and officially activates its Circle of Compassionate Christian Care (C4Him) Community Recovery Network.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe moments like these require more than concern — they require action. Families have lost possessions, stability, routines, and peace of mind. Some are displaced. Some are overwhelmed. Some are uncertain about what comes next.
But we also believe that God calls His people to stand in the gap.
The foundation of this movement comes directly from the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35:
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
And in Matthew 25:40, Christ makes the mission even clearer:
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Therefore, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church is calling upon churches, ministries, nonprofits, businesses, civic leaders, volunteers, and compassionate citizens throughout Fort Worth to join our Circle of Compassionate Christian Care (C4Him) as we work together to help our neighbors recover with dignity, hope, and love.
We thank God for the immediate response and compassionate partnership of the American Red Cross, whose emergency assistance has already provided critical support to impacted families. Following conversations with Red Cross leadership, New Mount Rose has officially activated its Community Recovery Hub to coordinate long-term recovery efforts and community support.
We have also met with the leadership team of Spanish Hacienda Apartment Homes, who will work directly with our recovery network to help ensure residents have access to resources, information, encouragement, and ongoing care throughout the recovery process.
The Circle of Compassionate Christian Care (C4Him) is a faith-driven network committed to serving people through prayer, presence, partnership, and practical support. Through this ministry, families will be connected to food assistance, clothing, temporary support services, transportation help, emotional encouragement, spiritual care, and recovery resources designed to help restore stability and hope.
With this mission in mind, an Emergency Community Meeting has been called for:
Under this Matthew 25:35 mandate, Pastor Kyev P. Tatum, Sr. will serve as the lead coordinator for the Community Recovery Hub and Circle of Compassionate Christian Care response effort.
We are asking every person who attends to come ready to listen, learn, pray, serve, and lead as we work together to help our neighbors recover stronger and better.
When one neighbor suffers, the whole community must respond.
