WHEREAS, life is a sacred gift from Almighty God, and though it may be brief, every life carries purpose, meaning, and the power to touch the hearts of others; and
WHEREAS, Trevelle “Tre” Boyer lived among us as a young man known for his loving spirit, caring heart, and determination to work and provide for his family; and
WHEREAS, Tre possessed a unique personality that could both challenge and uplift those around him, reminding us that authentic people leave lasting impressions on the lives they encounter; and
WHEREAS, though only eighteen years of age, Tre was striving to build a better future, demonstrating the courage of a young man who was trying to find his path, earn an honest living, and make a difference in the world around him; and
WHEREAS, the tragic loss of Trevelle Boyer following the shooting on February 24, 2026, in south Fort Worth has deeply grieved our community and serves as a solemn reminder of the urgent work required to protect, guide, and uplift our young people; and
WHEREAS, the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas, Skills City, USA Resilience Responders, and the New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church affirm the dignity of every human life and remain committed to strengthening families, restoring communities, and creating opportunities for young men and women to thrive; and
WHEREAS, the Holy Scriptures remind us in Galatians 6:9 (KJV):
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas, Skills City, USA Resilience Responders, and the New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church extend our deepest love, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to the family of Trevelle “Tre” Boyer during this time of sorrow and remembrance; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we honor the life of Tre not as a life defined by tragedy, but as a young man remembered for his heart, his effort, and his determination to keep trying; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Tre’s memory shall inspire our continued work in the community to ensure that every young person has access to mentorship, opportunity, and hope; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that this resolution be presented to the family of Trevelle “Tre” Boyer as a lasting symbol of our love, respect, and commitment to never forget his life or the lessons his journey leaves with us.
