GOD’S ARMY & SPRING BREAK FOOD BOWL CELEBRATE SUCCESSFUL KICKOFF AT NEW MOUNT ROSE.

FORT WORTH, TX — March 16, 2026 — Day One of the God’s Army Spring Break Camp and Community Food Bowl at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church served as a powerful reminder of what can happen when faith, service, and community come together.

At New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 2864 Mississippi Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas, children gathered to learn, laugh, and grow through the God’s Army Spring Break Camp, led by David and Aracely. Through games, activities, and fellowship, the children are not only learning teamwork and leadership — they are also learning the Word of God and what it means to live as Soldiers in the Army of the Lord.

Healthy competition during the camp provides meaningful opportunities for growth. As the children participate in activities and friendly contests, their character, attitudes, and teamwork naturally emerge — giving leaders the chance to guide, teach,

and refine them in ways that help build stronger character and deeper faith.

Spring Break is a joyful time for many families, but it can also be a challenging time for households across North Texas when children are home from school. Recognizing that need, Midwest Food Bank stepped up in a big way, providing New Mount Rose with plenty of snacks and food supplies to support children and families throughout the week.

Because of the partnership of churches within the Ministers Justice Coalition, along with the generous support of Vallejo Moving Company, New Mount Rose has been able to distribute food and snacks across the Southside and Stop Six communities, ensuring that families know they are not forgotten.

At New Mount Rose, ministry is more than preaching — it is serving, feeding, teaching, and building the next generation.

And as the old church song reminds us:

“We are soldiers in the Army.

We have to fight, although we have to cry.

We’ve got to hold up the blood-stained banner.

We’ve got to hold it up until we die.”

At New Mount Rose, we are proud to be raising up God’s Army — one child, one family, and one act of service at a time.
