In response to freezing weather conditions, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Worth will open its doors as a Warming Center beginning Friday at 6:00 PM through Sunday evening to provide safety, warmth, and care for our neighbors.
Location:
New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church
2864 Mississippi Avenue
Fort Worth, Texas 76104
No one in our community should have to endure dangerous cold alone.
This effort reflects the ongoing mission of New Mount Rose to serve both the spiritual and practical needs of Fort Worth’s inner city. From distributing 50,000 pounds of food during the annual MLK Hunger Bowl, to coat and blanket drives, to workforce development initiatives through Skills City USA, specialty coffee entrepreneurship training, youth film programs, and daily outreach to families in crisis — New Mount Rose stands committed to faith in action.
We believe everyone needs help, but especially the inner city — and faith calls us to respond with courage, consistency, and compassion.
For years, New Mount Rose has stood in the gap for seniors, single mothers, children, the unhoused, and working families facing hardship. Opening as a warming center is not a special event — it is who we are.
“Serve the Lord with gladness.” — Psalm 100:2
