On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, a deeply disturbing incident occurred at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. A Fort Worth Police officer allegedly used a racial slur, referring to Pastor Kyev Tatum as “a nigger” while police vehicles were parked on church property. Multiple neighbors reportedly overheard the officer saying, “that nigger is an idiot.”





We are calling for an immediate and thorough investigation into this unacceptable behavior. A Morningside Townhall Meeting is being organized, and representatives from the Fort Worth Police Department will be invited to attend.




This act is not an isolated event—it reflects a broader pattern of disrespect and excessive policing toward Black residents in Fort Worth’s 76104 community. We are demanding accountability, justice, and a renewed commitment to protect and serve all citizens with dignity and respect.
