“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.” – Proverbs 22:9
Fort Worth’s 76104 ZIP code is recognized as the area with the lowest life expectancy in Texas, averaging just 67 years. This stark reality underscores the urgent need for sustainable, faith-driven solutions to address food insecurity, health disparities, and generational poverty.
Faith in the Farm is a holistic initiative led by New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church. By connecting local farmers with urban families, we provide fresh produce, nutritious meals, and agricultural education, while nurturing spiritual growth and community empowerment.
“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.” – Proverbs 22:9
This initiative transforms food deserts into fields of hope, equity, and nourishment, demonstrating how faith and farming together can heal communities.
The Challenge: Food Insecurity in 76104

“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” – John 6:35
Residents often live in food deserts despite proximity to major hospitals. Poverty, trauma, and systemic exclusion compound the problem, creating urgent need for collaborative, faith-based solutions.
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.” – Proverbs 19:17
