Souls Made of Gold – Medal Sponsorship
Dear Friends and Supporters,
This is not just another invitation — this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make history.
This November, Black Texans, Inc., New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Worth, and the Texas Buffalo Soldiers Association will proudly present SOULS MADE OF GOLD, a 10-day commemoration of 250 years of Black military service — from the very first shots of the American Revolution in 1775 to the ongoing War on Terror in 2025.
From the Black Minutemen who fought for liberty at Lexington and Concord, to the Buffalo Soldiers who built the West, to the Harlem Hellfighters of World War I, the Six Triple Eight postal battalion of World War II, the Tuskegee Airmen, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and today’s Global War on Terror — our ancestors have fought, bled, and died for a freedom that did not always fight for them.
Now, we have the chance to fight for their memory.
A NATIONAL MOMENT OF RECOGNITION
As part of this historic celebration, we will present Congressional Gold Medals produced by the U.S. Mint to honor:
• The 369th Infantry Regiment (“Harlem Hellfighters”) – the most celebrated African American combat regiment of World War I.
• The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion (“Six Triple Eight”) – the only all-Black, all-female battalion deployed overseas during World War II.
The Congressional Gold Medal is one of the highest honors our nation can bestow. These presentations will bring long-overdue recognition to the descendants and communities connected to these courageous heroes.
This is more than a ceremony — it is an act of national remembrance and generational justice.

This is your chance to stand in the gap for those who stood on the battlefield. Together, we can ensure that their names are remembered, their stories are told, and their sacrifices are honored — not just in history books, but in our hearts and in the hands of their descendants holding these medals.
They gave their all for us. This is our chance to give something back.
