LED BY LOVE STRAIGHT FROM ABOVE: Honoring Reverend Kyev and Sister Tonya Tatum of the New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Worth.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”— Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

For seven faithful years, Reverend Kyev and Sister Tonya Tatum have served the Lord and the people of New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church with a love that is truly straight from above.

Through every challenge — from the global pandemic to the historic winter storm of 2021, from leading a major church renovation to establishing the Community Food Bowl — they have led with unwavering faith, clear vision, and deep compassion for their fellow man.

Their ministry has stretched far beyond the church walls, feeding the hungry, mentoring the youth, comforting the brokenhearted, and standing boldly for justice and righteousness in the city of Fort Worth. Their service is a living testimony that faith without works is dead — and they have kept their faith alive and active for all to see.

As we celebrate this seventh year of faithful service, we pause to thank God for the calling on their lives and the leadership they continue to provide. And we look ahead with great expectation, trusting that the same God who brought them this far will guide them into even greater works.

With their hands firmly on the plow and their hearts still burning with passion for the mission of Christ, we declare that their best days — and ours as a church family — are yet to come.

To God be the glory for the things He has done, and for the things He will yet do through Reverend Kyev and Sister Tonya Tatum at New Mount Rose.
