In honor of Veterans Day, the 250th Anniversary of the U.S. Army, and the 80th Anniversary of World War II, the Texas Buffalo Soldiers Association proudly announces Buffalo Soldiers Day and Frontier Women Showcase at the Texas African-American Museum in Tyler, Texas.


Buffalo Soldiers from across Texas will ride into Tyler to honor and celebrate the extraordinary service and sacrifices of African American veterans who have defended freedom and justice for our nation from 1775 to 2025.



This historic gathering will feature Legendary Buffalo Soldier Living Historians:

Mr. Sam Allen, North Texas Buffalo Soldiers 

Mr. Paul Allen, Lancaster Buffalo Soldiers 

Mr. Paul McCowan, East Texas Buffalo Soldiers 

Dr. Virginia Thompson, Bravo Zulu Homefront 

Mr. Clinton Warren, Texas Buffalo Soldiers Association 




These keepers of history will share their stories, wisdom, and lived experiences, preserving the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers and Frontier Women who shaped America with their courage, faith, and resilience.




Guided by the leadership of Pastor Kyev Tatum, Sr., Chaplain of the Texas Buffalo Soldiers Association, this event will bring communities together, honor the sacrifices of veterans, and inspire future generations to live by the words of 2 Timothy 2:3: “Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”
