Fort Worth, Texas – The Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas will hold a Noon Prayer Service on Thursday , August 21, 2025 at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 2864 Mississippi Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76104, in support of State Representative Nicole Collier.
Representative Collier, who has long served as a strong voice for her community, is being honored for her courage to stand her ground during the contentious midterm redistricting process currently underway in the Texas Legislature.
“We understand the power of prayer, and we are asking God to protect her, cover her, and strengthen her as she stands by her convictions without intimidation from the leadership of Texas,” said Pastor Kyev Tatum, President of the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas.
The Ministers Justice Coalition expressed concern about the tone, tenor, and timing of the redistricting process, noting that midterm adjustments threaten to dilute representation for historically marginalized communities. Coalition leaders are urging lawmakers to approach the process with fairness, transparency, and respect for the democratic voice of all Texans.
“Representative Collier represents integrity, justice, and resilience,” Pastor Tatum added. “At a time when political pressure seeks to silence those who advocate for equality, we must lift her up in prayer and stand with her in solidarity.”
The Noon Prayer Service will gather faith leaders, community members, and concerned citizens from across Fort Worth and beyond. The public is encouraged to attend in person and join in this unified call for prayer, protection, and justice.
