Meet the man behind the mic: Pastor Kyev Tatum—a living testimony that no weapon formed against you has to prosper.


From the moment he entered this world, Kyev Tatum has lived a life marked by impossibilities—and a God who makes all things possible. Born prematurely and not expected to survive, his mother Carol Tatum stood determined and undeterred, laying hands and lifting prayers. On Christmas Day 1965, just six days after his birth, baby Kyev began to breathe on his own. A miracle. A movement. A mandate.




Introducing: Determined and Undeterred with Kyev Tatum — a raw, real, and revelatory new podcast exploring what it means to stand firm in faith when everything around you says fall.


Each episode, Pastor Tatum peels back the layers of life’s toughest trials—poverty, fatherlessness, betrayal, broken systems, and broken spirits—to show how divine connection, divine direction, divine intervention, and divine protection have anchored his journey.


He knows the terrain well:

• Born into poverty. Determined and Undeterred.

• Never met his father. Determined and Undeterred.

• Labeled by a poor education system. Determined and Undeterred.

• Became a teenage father. Determined and Undeterred.

• Endured broken relationships. Determined and Undeterred.

• Betrayed by people he trusted. Determined and Undeterred.

       •       Abused and Misused. He is Determined and Undeterred!


When his back was against the wall, Kyev didn’t fold—he fasted, prayed, and pushed forward.


As a pastor, when the resources weren’t there but the needs were overwhelming, he stayed and served anyway.

As a president of Black Pastors in Texas, he advocated for his people in rooms that tried to shut him out—and kicked down doors with purpose.

When asked to be a part of Healthier Texas, he and other pastors walked away determined and undeterred—choosing instead to build a faith-fueled alternative: a Christian service hub rooted in the power of the local church. What they wouldn’t fund, God still favored.

He’s created Skills City, USA, HoodBuild U, and Camp Buffalo Soldiers—because when man says no, God still says go.




Rooted in Isaiah 61, Pastor Tatum believes he’s been called “to preach good tidings unto the meek… to bind up the brokenhearted… to proclaim liberty to the captives…” And he’s doing it—not in ivory towers but in the streets, sanctuaries, and underserved zip codes of Fort Worth.



“Determined and Undeterred” isn’t just a meeting. It’s a moment. A movement. A mindset.


• When people say it can’t be done, he says God already did it.
