Skills City, USA: A Church-Centered Workforce Transformation Hub.

At the intersection of faith and workforce transformation stands Skills City, USA, a bold initiative powered by New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church in the historic 76104 zip code of Fort Worth, Texas. Designed as a national model for church-based workforce development, Skills City, USA is not just a program—it’s a movement to restore work ethic, rebuild character, and revive communities through purpose-driven career readiness.

As the central hub for this innovative effort, New Mount Rose MBC is leading the charge to connect inner-city residents to life-changing opportunities through the Community Work Experience Program (CWEP). With a legacy of service and a mission rooted in justice and love, the church provides more than just training—it offers transformation.

Community Outreach & Recruitment

New Mount Rose is a trusted anchor in Fort Worth’s most underserved neighborhoods. With deep roots and community trust, the church mobilizes outreach through neighborhood engagement, community partners, and personal connection—identifying and recruiting individuals who are ready to grow, serve, and work.

Holistic Support Services

Recognizing the real-life challenges many participants face, the church provides wraparound care—family support, transportation solutions, mental and physical health services, and spiritual guidance. This holistic approach removes barriers that often block access to employment and educational success.

Information & Access Hub

As a central application and information site, Skills City, USA helps local residents navigate eligibility, enrollment, and employment pathways with clarity and compassion. In a world of bureaucracy, New Mount Rose offers a human-centered, community-first approach to workforce readiness.

Employer Connections with Purpose

By cultivating relationships with local employers and community-minded businesses, Skills City, USA secures meaningful, mission-aligned work placements that reflect both community values and participant strengths. These are more than jobs—they are launchpads to lasting careers.

Lifelong Mentorship & Faith-Fueled Encouragement

Success doesn’t stop at placement. Through life coaching, mentorship, and spiritual encouragement, New Mount Rose continues walking with participants long after they enter the workforce. Rooted in the church’s tradition of discipleship, this ongoing investment builds resilience, confidence, and long-term success.
