Psalm 34:3 – “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.”

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — While the nation gathered to celebrate Juneteenth with parades, music, and family cookouts, something even more powerful was unfolding at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church—a heaven-sent, Holy Ghost-filled, heart-reviving week where freedom wasn’t just remembered—it was experienced.

On June 19, 2025, as we paused to reflect on the journey from slavery to liberation, our hearts turned toward Jesus Christ—the One who made us eternally free by conquering sin and death at Calvary. While the world honored the Emancipation Proclamation, we rejoiced in the blood-soaked banner of redemption! And oh, what a celebration it was!

For the first time in our history, Vacation Bible School aligned with the sacred week of Juneteenth—and what followed was nothing short of a divine outpouring. We called it:

JUNETEENTH MAGNIFIED VBS 2025

And beloved, God showed up, showed out, and showed us His glory!

A Divine Gathering of Saints

From every corner of North Texas, churches came together—uniting in love, worship, and shared mission. We were honored to welcome:

  • North Point Baptist Church
  • Garden Acres Baptist Church
  • First Baptist Church–Burleson
  • Greater True Light Holiness Church
  • Christ Temple Holiness Church
  • Harvey Avenue Baptist Church

It was a symphony of fellowship, a holy collision of congregations, cultures, and callings—lifting one voice to exalt the One true God! The sanctuary was charged with supernatural expectation as saints embraced, children laughed, and the Spirit of God moved freely among us.

Baptisms, Not Burials — A Holy Cry

In the shadow of heartbreak—especially the tragic wave of violence that struck our city on Father’s Day—New Mount Rose lifted a new banner:

“Baptisms, Not Burials.”

We are not helpless. We are hopeful. And with heaven’s help, we are fighting for our children—not with weapons of this world, but with the Word of God, the waters of baptism, and the power of prayer.

And God responded. With tears streaming and hearts open wide, eleven young people gave their lives to Jesus Christ, and two were baptized on Juneteenth itself—reborn and reborn again in the same week our nation celebrates freedom. These precious souls now carry a forever testimony of what God can do—right here, right now.

From this day forward, “Juneteenth Jesus” will be a sacred cornerstone of New Mount Rose’s yearly calendar—a celebration of salvation, restoration, and resurrection!

A Joyful Explosion of Ministry

Throughout the week, over 500 people passed through our doors—children, families, elders, seekers, saints. We worshiped with fire, we studied the Word with clarity, and we fellowshipped with pure joy. There were:

  • Snow cones and Scripture
  • Watermelon and worship
  • Dance circles and altar calls
  • Testimonies and transformation

We saw children run to Jesus, mothers praise through tears, and young hearts discover their God-given worth. Every color, every culture, every generation stood equal at the foot of the cross.

Red, yellow, black, brown, and white—every soul was celebrated and covered by His amazing grace.
