Why Fort Worth? Why Now?
According to the Fort Worth Film Commission:
• The film industry has contributed over $700 million in economic impact since 2015
• More than 1,000 productions—films, shows, commercials, and music videos—have been shot locally
• These projects have created over 30,000 jobs for area residents
• People who watch Fort Worth–based shows are twice as likely to visit, bringing an estimated 230,000 more tourists annually
Actor Matthew McConaughey, speaking to Texas lawmakers, emphasized:
“If we pass this bill in Texas, we are immediately at the bargaining table for shooting films, television, and commercials in our state.”
Now is the moment to prepare our youth for this rising wave of opportunity.
