EVERYBODY LOVES CANDY CLARK! Celebrating Our Screen Sweetheart from Cowtown to Tinseltown in Fort Worth, Texas | June 21, 2025.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Every town has its heroes, but Fort Worth? We’ve got a legends. This summer, the very city that nurtured her spirit is rolling out the red carpet for one of its brightest stars. Candy Clark — the fierce, funny, and fearless Fort Worth girl who turned a chance casting call into a cultural phenomenon — is coming home.

Sixty years after graduating from Green B. Trimble Tech High School, Candy returns not only to mark a personal milestone, but to celebrate a lifetime of adventure and achievement. There’s a birthday bash, an exclusive book signing, and a classic car showdown all on deck—a true love letter to the girl who took Cowtown all the way to Hollywood.

🎬 From Fort Worth to Film Icon

Candy Clark’s journey isn’t simply about fame. It’s about freedom, grit, and making every moment count. It began with a Texan teen heading to New York with nothing but a suitcase and an unquenchable spark—and eventually led her to share the screen with icons like Jeff Bridges, David Bowie, and other luminaries of 1970s cinema.

Her breakthrough came with John Huston’s Fat City, followed by an unforgettable Oscar-nominated turn in George Lucas’s American Graffiti, and a mesmerizing performance in The Man Who Fell to Earth. Through it all, Candy remained true to herself—funny, grounded, and forever imbued with that unmistakable Cowtown charm.

In Candy’s own words: “Can you believe this was my life?” We sure can—and we’re here to celebrate every unforgettable frame of it.

Tight Heads: The Memoir We Didn’t Know We Needed

Forget everything you think you know about celebrity memoirs. Candy Clark’s Tight Heads isn’t a typical tell-all—it’s a “tell-what-matters.” Part scrapbook, part confessional, and part fever dream, this memoir is a cinematic flipbook of 87 candid Polaroids, backstage anecdotes, and pure, unfiltered Candy.

There’s no Hollywood gloss here—only Texas grit laced with golden nostalgia. With no ghostwriters, no filters, just Candy’s own witty, warm, and whip-smart voice, Tight Heads captures moments with Bowie, Ruscha, Huston, Bridges, and the beautiful chaos of a life lived at full throttle. It’s Babitz with boots on—a Texas twang in a Tinseltown world—and as bold and unpredictable as the woman behind it.
