WASHINGTON, DC - We extend our sincerest thanks to the New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Worth and to all who lifted us in prayer and gave generously in support of our journey to Washington, D.C., as we led the Texas 6888th Project Delegation to the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony.


This was more than a moment—it is a movement.


The spotlight on the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion has grown brighter thanks to the 2024 Netflix film directed by Tyler Perry, starring Kerry Washington, which earned an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. Retired Colonel Edna Cummings, who shared powerful words of acceptance at the ceremony, also directed the groundbreaking 2019 documentary that helped bring this story to light.


Our Little Miss 6888th Ambassadors made their national debut with purpose and power. Colonel Cummings beautifully highlighted them in her remarks, saying:




“This history has now restored the passion of service, as evidenced by young girls who now dress up as members of the Six Triple Eight.”


We are humbled and honored to be part of this living legacy.
