Farm Fort Worth, Guns To Gardens, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, and the Ministers Justice Coalition Join Forces for a March Against Violence
A March, A Mission, and A Movement: Healing Our City from the Trauma of Violence
On Friday, April 11, 2025, at 6:05 PM, our community will unite for a powerful march down Mississippi Avenue to raise awareness about the trauma caused by violence in our city. Whether domestic violence, gun violence, homicides, or suicides, the scars of violence run deep within our community. It’s time to heal.
This march holds special significance as we commemorate the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Sr., a victim of gun violence. In honoring his legacy, we stand united in the fight against violence that continues to plague our families and neighborhoods. His tragic death serves as a painful reminder that violence must end and healing must begin.
This collective collaboration—Farm Fort Worth, Guns to Gardens, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, and the Ministers Justice Coalition—is a solution to the violence and trauma that holds our community captive. The march will send a strong message of resilience, healing, and the collective action needed to address the deep-rooted pain in our hearts.
The march is more than just a walk; it’s a call to action. We come together to demand the treatment of trauma. We come together to say our community deserves peace, justice, and the opportunity to heal.
Buried Bullets, Not Our Babies—The Vision for Farm Fort Worth: A Future Worth Growing
As we march, we’re also planting seeds for the future. Farm Fort Worth represents hope, growth, and transformation. We are committed to turning the soil of our community into fertile ground for healing and renewal—where the violence of the past gives way to the hope of a thriving, healthy future. By supporting Farm Fort Worth, we invest in the well-being of our community, not only through food sovereignty but through the empowerment and healing of our people.
A Call for Healing, Unity, and Justice
We call upon all members of our community to join us in this march. Together, we will raise our voices for healing, treatment, and the eradication of violence. Together, we will plant the seeds for a better tomorrow—one rooted in peace, hope, and unity.
