✨ Imagine young Black girls, ages 3 to 13, standing in the halls of power, honoring the heroic women who paved the way before them. ✨ This is not just a history lesson—it’s a movement, and you can be a part of it!


What began as a simple portrait of LTC Charity Adams by 11-year-old Miss Torie Monroe Hunter at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, paired with a Black History moment by 6-year-old Miss Denver Griggs at Miss Endy’s Classic Academy, has blossomed into something truly extraordinary—a reading and history program dedicated to teaching young girls about the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion and other unsung Black heroes!


Now, these bright, young historians have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take their passion for history to the national stage!



They’ve Been Invited to Washington, DC!


These remarkable young ladies have been invited to participate in the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony Festivities honoring the 6888th—the first and only all-Black, all-female battalion to serve overseas in World War II.


This is history in the making—and these girls deserve to be there! They will:

✨ Witness the honor and recognition of the trailblazing women they’ve studied

✨ Represent their community with pride and dignity

✨ Be inspired to continue their journey as leaders and history keepers
