πŸ”₯ WAKE UP, FORT WORTH! πŸ”₯

Ministers Justice Coalition & Guns to Gardens Present

🚨 APRIL 4TH MARCH AGAINST THE MADNESS OF GUN VIOLENCE 🚨

Bury Your Bullets, Not Our Babies. “We need treatment for the trauma caused by the tragedy of gun violence homicides and suicides in the community.” Pastor Tatum

πŸ“… Friday, April 4 | 6:05 PM

πŸ“ Fort Worth, Texas

All Are Welcome | Clergy Encouraged to Wear Robes or Stoles

πŸ’” HOW MANY MORE INNOCENT LIVES MUST BE LOST? πŸ’”

Gun violence is robbing us of our children, leaving families shattered, and traumatizing entire communities. This is NOT just another march—this is a battle cry for change!

On April 4, 1968, at exactly 6:05 PM, the voice of justice, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was silenced by an assassin’s bullet. Fifty-six years later, the madness continues. How many more must die before we take a stand?

πŸ”΄ 1,529 lives stolen in Tarrant County (2019-2023).

πŸ”΄ 4,600 lives lost to gun violence across Texas in 2023.

πŸ”΄ Thousands more wounded, grieving, and living in fear.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

🚢🏾‍♂️ WHY WE MARCH 🚢🏾‍♀️

We march to honor Dr. King’s legacy and demand an end to this senseless violence. We march for the children who never made it home. We march for the mothers and fathers burying their babies. We march for peace, for healing, for action—before another name is added to the list.

πŸ”Ή We march for justice.

πŸ”Ή We march for change.

πŸ”Ή We march because our lives depend on it!

πŸ“ MARCH ROUTE

⏳ Gather at 5:30 PM at the intersection of Atatiana Jefferson Memorial Parkway & Mississippi Avenue—a neighborhood deeply scarred by gun violence.

🚢🏾 At 6:05 PM sharp—the exact moment Dr. King was assassinated—we will step forward in his honor, marching toward New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church (2864 Mississippi Ave., near East Berry St.)

⚡ A CALL TO ACTION: BURY YOUR BULLETS! ⚡

At the church, we will take a bold stand for peace. Bring your bullets. Bring your ammunition. Surrender them for permanent disposal—a powerful symbol of our commitment to ENDING gun violence.

(πŸ”Έ At this time, we are NOT accepting firearms.)

πŸ•Š️ RELEASING THE DOVES: A MOMENT OF REMEMBRANCE πŸ•Š️

Thanks to the generous support of Minister Derrick Johnson, we will honor the lives lost to gun violence in Tarrant County with the release of doves—a powerful tribute to the souls stolen by senseless violence.

πŸ•Š️ Each dove will rise as a symbol of peace, love, and the unbreakable spirit of those we’ve lost. Let this moment remind us that while their voices have been silenced, their memories will never fade.

πŸ”¨ BLESSING OF THE CHOP SAW πŸ”¨

After the march, witness history in the making as we bless the Chop Saw, a tool that will be used in future Guns to Gardens Safe Surrender events right here in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, beginning in 2025.

πŸ”₯ FROM WEAPONS OF DESTRUCTION TO TOOLS OF LIFE! πŸ”₯

Guns to Gardens transforms surrendered firearms into garden tools and works of art, proving that out of violence, we can create something beautiful. Be part of the movement that turns tragedy into triumph!

🚨 WHO’S STANDING UP? 🚨

This march is led by the Ministers Justice Coalition and faith communities across Fort Worth and Tarrant County. We need YOU!

Do you care about your community? Do you believe in change? Then show up and stand with us!
