Fort Worth, TX — March 10, 2025 — “Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.” — Proverbs 31:31

During Women’s History Month, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will unveil a landmark exhibition, Trilogy of Her Story: Honoring Black Women Trailblazers from Fort Worth. This inspiring exhibit will celebrate three remarkable women whose faith, perseverance, and contributions have left a lasting impact on history.

Curated by Pastor Kyev Tatum of New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church and the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas, this exhibition reflects the biblical call to honor those who labor in righteousness and pave the way for future generations.

Honorees:

• Gifted on the Greens: The LPGA Coach Gladys Lee Story

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 3:14

A trailblazer in golf, Coach Gladys Lee persevered through barriers of race and gender, opening doors for future generations of athletes through faith and dedication.

• Songbird of the South: The Dr. Francine Reese Morrison Story

“O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.” — Psalm 95:1

Dr. Francine Reese Morrison, a gospel legend, used her anointed voice to glorify God, uplift communities, and remain steadfast in her faith, refusing to compromise her calling.

• Queen Publisher of the Prairie: The Beatrice Pringle Story

“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” — Habakkuk 2:2

As the first Black female publisher of a major publication, Beatrice Pringle understood the power of the written word to uplift and empower generations, leaving a literary legacy that continues to inspire.

Pastor Kyev Tatum, historian and curator of Before Little Rock: The Crisis at Mansfield High School in 1956, has dedicated over a decade to preserving and sharing the untold stories of Black history in Texas. This exhibition is a testament to Proverbs 22:28: “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.”
