FAITH TO PLOW FORWARD. Luke 9:62: An Ecumenical Gun Violence Awareness Worship Service on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:30am at New Mount Rose. Singing, Sharing and Sympathizing with Those Who Are Suffering from Suicide.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - The Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas and the The Presbyterian Peace Fellowship invite the community to an Ecumenical Gun Violence  Awareness Worship Service on Thursday, February 13, at 11:30 AM at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2864 Mississippi Avenue in Fort Worth, near I-35 and E. Berry Street.

This solemn gathering will bring together faith leaders, survivors, and advocates from across denominations to pray, reflect, and call for action against the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our communities. As we stand united in faith and justice, we will uplift the memories of those lost and recommit ourselves to working toward a future free from senseless violence.

As part of this event, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church will also host a powerful display, Vidas Robadas (Stolen Lives), honoring those taken too soon by gun violence. This visual tribute serves as both a memorial and a call to action, reminding us of the urgent need for change.

In addition to this sacred service, we urge all concerned citizens to take the next step by joining us for the Statewide Gun Violence Prevention Lobby Day in Austin on Thursday, February 27, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This critical event will bring together advocates from across Texas to meet with legislators, share stories, and push for meaningful gun safety reforms.

We cannot remain silent in the face of rising gun violence. Join us in prayer, remembrance, and action as we fight for safer communities.
