Fort Worth, TX. In a groundbreaking effort to address the stark health disparities in Fort Worth’s 76104 and 76105 ZIP codes, areas with the lowest life expectancy and highest infant mortality rates in Texas, Healthier Texas and Texas Health Resources are teaming up with New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church and the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas to bring transformative health initiatives to these underserved communities. https://healthiertexas.org/wp-content/uploads/Press-Release-THR-Grant-Award.pdf


“This is a game changer for our community,” said Pastor Kyev Tatum, pastor of New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church and president of the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas. “This collaborative approach has the best possible chance of producing better outcomes. We are committed to providing better services, supplies, and support to help our neighbors get better.”


This partnership is set to improve access to health resources, promote preventive care, and deliver essential support services to residents in need. By combining faith-based leadership with healthcare expertise, the initiative aims to tackle root causes of poor health and create sustainable, long-term improvements.


Healthier Texas, a statewide nonprofit, is dedicated to bringing people, organizations, and communities together to take action that supports health for all, now and for generations to come. The organization works to reduce the risk of preventable diseases while improving health outcomes for Texans.
