From the Classroom to Congress! Little Miss 6888th: A Call For Us To Rally Behind Our Youngest Historians.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – History is alive in the hearts of our children, and the time has come for our community to stand up, show up, and lift up the next generation of leaders! Little Miss 6888th, a group of extraordinary young girls, is taking their passion for history from the classroom to the national stage, and we need YOU to be a part of this momentous journey!

A Movement Born in the Classroom, Now Headed for the Nation’s Capital

It all started in a small private school filled with big dreams. Miss Endy’s Christian Academy transformed into a portal of history, where Mrs. Sue Crosby’s students mesmerized an audience with their Black History Month performances. But one moment in particular captured the spirit of a movement—when a young girl, clad in a perfectly tailored Army uniform, stepped forward to embody Major Charity Edna Adams, commander of the legendary 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion.

Denver Griggs, age 6, unwavering voice, her presence, and her passion reminded everyone that history is not just something we remember—it’s something we carry forward.

Pastor Kyev Tatum, a former student of Mrs. Crosby, saw something incredible that day. He knew these young minds were ready for more. They weren’t just students—they were legacy keepers, history carriers, and future change-makers. And so, Little Miss 6888th was born!

Now, these bright and bold young girls have been invited to represent Fort Worth at two monumental events:

✅ The Grand Opening of the “Trilogy of Her Story: Honoring Black Women Trailblazers in Fort Worth” at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

✅ The 6888th Congressional Gold Medal Festivities in Washington, D.C., where they will witness history being honored at the highest level!

This is bigger than an event. This is a CALL TO ACTION for every member of our community who believes in the power of our children and the importance of our history!

Why This Matters—And Why We Need YOU.

For too long, the stories of Black heroes and heroines have been overlooked, forgotten, or ignored. Little Miss 6888th is changing that. They are not just learning history—they are telling it, sharing it, and making sure it is never forgotten.

Imagine the impact of these young girls standing tall in Washington, D.C., representing Fort Worth, honoring the Black women who broke barriers, defied odds, and paved the way for future generations. This isn’t just a trip—it’s a mission.

But they cannot do it alone. They need our community to stand behind them, to invest in their future, and to ensure they get the opportunity they deserve.
