Stolen Lives / Vidas Robadas: Memorial for Lives Taken by Gun Violence in Fort Worth and Tarrant County at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Worth, Texas.

Fort Worth, TX On Thursday, February 13, at 11:30 AM, community leaders, families, and advocates will gather to honor and remember the lives lost to gun violence in Fort Worth and Tarrant County in 2023. The event, themed “Stolen Lives / Vidas Robadas,” will serve as a solemn memorial to those taken too soon and as a call to action for peace and justice.

The memorial will take place at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 2864 Mississippi Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104, bringing together grieving families, faith leaders, and community organizations committed to ending gun violence.

“Each name represents a stolen future, a grieving family, and a community left with an irreplaceable void,” said Pastor Kyev Tatum, a longtime advocate for justice and healing in Fort Worth. “We refuse to let these lives be forgotten. “We will honor them, support their families, and continue working toward safer communities.”

The program will include:

A reading of names of those lost to gun violence in 2023.

Remarks from impacted families who will share their stories.

Prayers and reflections from faith leaders.

A call to action for solutions to reduce violence in our neighborhoods.

The public is encouraged to attend and stand in solidarity with the families affected.
