FORT WORTH, TEXAS—The Ministers Justice Coalition, led by Pastor Kyev Tatum, is raising concerns about the police response to the disappearance of Marquise Browner, a 21-year-old Black man diagnosed with schizophrenia who has been missing since December 19, 2024.


“It appears there is very little concern for this young Black man who has documented mental health challenges,” said Pastor Tatum, President of the Ministers Justice Coalition. “He hasn’t been seen at work at FedEx, and his family’s pleas for help seem to have been met with indifference.”


Pastor Tatum highlighted troubling reports about the police department’s handling of critical cases, including a backlog of over 900 untested rape kits and numerous cold cases. “This lack of urgency makes it seem as though Marquise Browner’s case is not a priority,” Tatum added.


According to the family, Marquise was last seen on December 19, 2014, at 5:42 PM when he was dropped off at his job at FedEx. He has since had no contact with his family and does not have his necessary medication.


The Ministers Justice Coalition urges law enforcement and the community to treat Marquise Browner’s case with the urgency it deserves. “Every moment counts when someone is missing, especially when mental health and safety are at stake,” Pastor Tatum emphasized.
