HEAVEN SENT: Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas Partnership with Healthier Texas Approved By Texas Health Resources To Launch Health + Healing Hubs in 76104 and 76105.
Fort Worth, Texas — On January 23, 2025, the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas received the exciting news that their Health + Healing Hubs Proposal was approved for funding by Texas Health Resources in the amount of over $430,000. This partnership with Healthier Texas will create transformative Health + Healing Hubs aimed at improving health outcomes in Fort Worth’s underserved neighborhoods, particularly in the 76104 and 76105 ZIP codes.
In a special meeting with the Ministers Justice Coalition, Jamie Williams, CEO of It’s Time Texas and leader of Healthier Texas, alongside Nathaniel Aranda, Senior Vice President of Strategy, shared the exciting news that Texas Health Resources had approved funding for this impactful initiative. “This project is heaven sent,” said Pastor Kyev Tatum, President of the Ministers Justice Coalition and Pastor of New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church.
“These Health + Healing Hubs are exactly what the community needs,” Pastor Tatum continued. “Health means wealth, and the healthier you are, the wealthier you are mentally, physically, and spiritually. We are committed to healing and rebuilding Fort Worth’s inner city, and this funding will allow us to do that in a way we have only dreamed of.”
Healthier Texas, through It’s Time Texas, is dedicated to addressing health inequities and reducing the risk of preventable diseases across Texas. With more than 20 years of experience, Jamie Williams and her team have been at the forefront of ensuring that all Texans, regardless of zip code, have equitable access to health education, prevention, and care.
“Where you live shouldn’t determine how long you live,” said Jamie Williams, CEO of It’s Time Texas. “At Healthier Texas, we’re focused on creating healthier communities and addressing the root causes of health disparities, including food deserts, lack of healthcare access, and poverty.”
The Health + Healing Hubs initiative will focus on providing resources for health education, prevention, and community engagement in Fort Worth’s 76104 and 76105 ZIP codes. These hubs will serve as a foundation for community transformation, empowering residents with the tools they need to take charge of their health and well-being.
“This partnership with Healthier Texas is a blessing,” said Pastor Tatum. “With this funding, we will be able to establish these hubs as places of healing and hope, not just for physical health but for mental and spiritual well-being as well.”
The project will be an essential resource for residents of the 76104 and 76105 communities, helping to address the long-standing health inequities that have plagued the area. Through education, engagement, and outreach, the Health + Healing Hubs will become pillars of community strength and wellness.
