BLANKETS FOR OUR BABIES! MLK Hunger Bowl has been rescheduled and moved indoors to tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 3pm at New Mount Rose

NEWS ALERT: MLK HUNGER BOWL RESCHEDULED & BLANKETS FOR OUR BABIES

Due to inclement weather, the MLK Hunger Bowl has been rescheduled and moved indoors to Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 2864 Mississippi Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.

As part of this event, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church and the Ministers Justice Coalition of Texas will launch the “Blankets for Our Babies” initiative, providing complimentary throw blankets to all students and staff at Morningside Middle School and Briscoe Elementary School. Thanks to FEMA, 2,500 blankets will be distributed to keep our children warm during this cold weather.

“We are eternally thankful to FEMA for sending out these blankets for our babies as this weather continues to drop. We want them to try and keep warm until the weather improves,” said Pastor Kyev Tatum, organizer of the event.

This collaborative effort, part of the 2025 MLK End Hunger Challenge, is made possible by incredible partners: Midwest Food Bank, Secured Moving Company, Ministers Justice Coalition, Sheriff’s Department Labor Detail, and FEMA. Together, we’ll provide food and blankets to serve our neighbors who bless the church.
