Many people remember Earl Campbell, the legendary “Tyler Rose,” running over, around and past defenders for the John Tyler Lions, Texas Longhorns and Houston Oilers. His extraordinary journey carried him from the playing fields of Tyler to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and eventually into business, where his name became associated with one of Texas’ best-known sausage brands.
