TEAM JESUS IS HEADED TO COLLEGE STATION WITH FAITH IN THE FARM. Walking the Land. Learning from the Soil. Growing More in 76104. Today, members of Team Jesus at New Mount Rose are headed to College Station to walk the land with the Ross family and the Texas Small Farmers & Ranchers Community-Based Organization. When P. Wade Ross and Ken Ross invited New Mount Rose members to College Station, our team was excited to learn how underutilized land can become a thriving farm. Since 2025, P. Wade Ross and Pastor Kyev Tatum have worked together to build capacity for the Faith in the Farm Project at New Mount Rose. Along the way, the church has grown a community garden, established a Buffalo Soldiers 4-H Club, and begun building a chicken coop. THE ROYAL CHICKEN COOP 1 Peter 2:9 Made with Dignity, Service, Stewardship, and Excellence. A new chicken coop is being built at New Mount Rose, and the only way to describe it is pure royalty! Brother José and Sister Soledad Perez have put their hands, heads, and hearts together to design and build something truly special for the children of the New Mount Rose Buffalo Soldiers 4-H Club, under the leadership of Brother David and Sister Aracely Ramos. Together with Pastor and Sister Tatum, we are teaching our children the principles found in 1 Peter 2:9: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…” Our children come from America, South America, and Africa. We are teaching them that God is not focused on the color of their skin or the country from which they come—He is focused on their godly character. They are chosen. They are royal. The analysis was based on death records collected from 2005 through 2014. Although the data reflected that period, the deep inequities it revealed continue to demand sustained attention, strategic investment, and measurable action.
