WE DREAM MEAN GREEN! UNT Football Team is Headed to Championship with 52-25 Win Over Temple. DENTON, TEXAS - Today was a chilly and glorious Mean Green day in Denton, Texas — a day when the roar of the crowd met the rising dreams of our young people and children from Skills City, USA Resilience Responders at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church. Former football players, coaches, alumni, and loyal fans filled the stadium, but the true spotlight rested on the children and students who experienced their very first college football game… and stepped into possibilities bigger than they ever imagined. These parents, children and teens didn’t just witness a victory — they witnessed a vision. Thank you to every parent, supporter, and partner who believed in them enough to help make this moment happen. Your generosity is the bridge that carries dreams from the neighborhood to the university doorsteps. Pastor Tatum shared these words of inspiration: “We are excited about what our team is exp...

THE E$TEEM THE GREEN SYSTEM: A Biblical & Practical Wealth Journey and Legacy. “Where Wealth, Wisdom, and Character Grow Together.” E$TEEM THE GREEN is a holistic wealth-building and character-building platform rooted in biblical stewardship and financial literacy. The mission is simple: honor the value of a dollar, respect the dignity of work, and build a foundation of character that protects and multiplies the wealth God entrusts to us. We teach that money is a tool, not a god. Wealth is a responsibility, not an accident. And character is the fence that protects both your wallet and your witness. THE E$TEEM MODEL Learn. Earn. Save. Invest. Protect. + This is not just financial training. This is financial discipleship. Trust. Respect. Responsibility. Fairness. Caring. Citizenship. The E$TEEM Model blends the Five Biblical Principles of Financial Literacy with the Six Pillars of God-Honoring Character. This creates the transformation pathway: E$TEEM THE DOLLAR → E$TEEM THE PR...

Skills City, USA – A National Model for Welfare to Workforce. Founded by Pastor Kyev Tatum, New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.  Fort Worth’s 76104 zip code holds the painful distinction of having the lowest life expectancy in the entire state of Texas. Years of disinvestment, generational poverty, racial trauma, and chronic underemployment have created a community that knows hardship far too well. Yet it is here—where the need is the greatest—that Skills City, USA is rising as a national model for transformation. Rooted in the belief that faith can fuel freedom, Skills City, USA introduces a new faith-based Community Work Experience Program (CWEP) designed to help individuals move from welfare to the workforce with dignity, hope, and real opportunity. This program is centered around three pillars: 1. Trauma-Informed Care 2. Help While We Heal 3. Workforce Readiness and Skills Training This innovative formula is proving that when people ar...

RECLAIMING OUR ROOTS. Honoring the 140th Anniversary of the Vision for the Historic New Trinity Cemetery (1886–2026) in Haltom City, Texas “That the generation to come might know them… that they might set their hope in God.” — Psalm 78:6–7 (KJV) TARRANT COUNTY — The year 1886 marks a sacred beginning. It was the year that Pastor Greene Fretwell, a formerly enslaved minister, passed away — and the moment his devoted wife, Mrs. Frances Fretwell, began her holy mission to secure a dignified burial place for Black families in Tarrant County. Her compassion, courage, and spiritual clarity gave birth to what would become the Historic New Trinity Cemetery — the oldest Black cemetery in this part of the county and a cornerstone of African American heritage, faith, military service, and community resilience. As we approach the 140th Anniversary of this powerful vision, Buffalo Soldiers across Texas are preparing a statewide tribute to honor the legacy of Pastor Fretwell, the leadership of Mrs. ...

RECLAIMING OUR ROOTS — A NEW DAY FOR THE TATUM FAMILY. A story of hope, healing, heritage, and Holy Ghost courage. Link:  https://youtu.be/T7PeAaZkkwI FORT WORTH, TEXAS - For almost sixty years, Pastor Kyev Tatum carried a quiet truth in his heart: he did not know who his biological father was. The absence was real, the questions were heavy, and the journey was long. Yet instead of allowing that missing piece to break him, he chose to let God build him. He refused to let fatherlessness define his future or limit his destiny. Born in Fort Worth and conceived in Tyler, Texas, Pastor Tatum grew up with resilience, faith, and an unstoppable drive to become the man his grandchildren could be proud of. And now, after six decades, God has opened a door for him to discover the chapter of his story he never thought he’d see — his ancestral roots. This breakthrough came through an unexpected blessing: Ms. Debra Christian of Tyler, Texas. She introduced Pastor Tatum to Patti Huff Williams, a ...
