It’s called New Mount Rose Skills City, USA, and it’s not just a program—it’s a movement.
Led by Pastor Kyev Tatum of New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church, and powered by Workforce Solutions For Tarrant County, New Mount Rose Skills City, USA is a year-round Community Work Experience Program (CWEP) designed to do more than just place people in jobs—it’s equipping them for life, leadership, and lasting success.

The 21st-century economy demands creativity, adaptability, and courage. New Mount Rose Skills City, USA is answering that call with two electrifying new career tracks—designed to open doors and unleash dreams—alongside strong foundations in healthcare, logistics, culinary arts, facilities maintenance, and tech.
Film & Digital Media Production
Storytelling is power—and this track gives students the tools to tell theirs:
• Cinematography, lighting, and audio production
• Editing with Adobe Premiere & Final Cut Pro
• Scriptwriting, storyboarding, budgeting
• Real-world productions for churches, nonprofits, and social campaigns
“Hollywood doesn’t own our stories,” Pastor Tatum says.
“We’re raising storytellers with purpose—and a paycheck.”
Specialty Coffee & Entrepreneurship.
With help from Fort Worth’s best cafés and roasters, and the Texas A&M University Center for Coffee Research and Education, trainees learn:
• Barista skills, espresso mastery, and latte art
• Customer service and point-of-sale systems
• Coffee sourcing, roasting, and branding
• Café management and small business development.
Churches become live learning labs—where faith, flavor, and financial literacy meet.

Phase 1: Foundation & Readiness (4 Weeks)
• Digital literacy, time management, and professionalism
• Character development through scripture and storytelling
• Weekly “Check & Pray” sessions to reflect, reset, and rise.
Phase 2: Career Track Immersion (6 Weeks)
• Industry-specific, hands-on training across seven dynamic fields.
• Delivered in church classrooms, media studios, and café workspaces
Phase 3: Community Work Experience (6–8 Weeks)
• Paid placements through CWEP at 20 hours/week
• Real-world experience in local businesses, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations
• Weekly journaling and mentorship to lock in growth and purpose
