EXECUTIVE SUMMARY


Launching Monday, July 7, 2025, Skills City, USA is a groundbreaking faith-based Community Work Experience Program (CWEP) hosted at New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Located in the heart of the 76104 zip code—the area with the lowest life expectancy in Texas—this initiative equips residents with job skills, character development, and real-world work experience to break cycles of poverty, incarceration, and hopelessness.



To support the continued growth and impact of the program, Skills City, USA is requesting strategic investment to strengthen its core staffing, while contributing to the ongoing operational needs of its host site, New Mount Rose. This proposal outlines a lean and sustainable staffing model and includes facility maintenance and utilities support to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality programming.


STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

  1. Strengthen executive leadership to oversee and expand programming.

  2. Enhance administrative coordination to manage reporting, tracking, and compliance.

  3. Ensure dedicated instruction across all five skill tracks.

  4. Provide one-on-one career coaching and spiritual mentoring to drive long-term transformation.

  5. Support New Mount Rose operations as the official host and training facility for Skills City.

FACILITY PARTNERSHIP & OPERATIONS SUPPORT


New Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church is not only the host of Skills City, USA—it is the physical and spiritual home of this initiative. From Mondays through Thursdays, 10AM to 2PM, the church opens its doors, classrooms, restrooms, and common spaces to serve participants with dignity and structure.
