🚨 The time is now! 🚨 Tomorrow, we take a bold and historic step in the fight for our children’s futures with the launch of the Write After School program at New Mount Rose! Literacy is not just a skill—it is the key to freedom, opportunity, and success! With county leaders declaring literacy a top priority, we must step up, stand together, and take action to ensure our children rise, not fall!



📢 THE CRISIS IS REAL. THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW!


📚 Illiteracy fuels incarceration. The school-to-prison pipeline is destroying futures, disproportionately affecting Black children.


📚 Statistics don’t lie. A shocking percentage of inmates read at an elementary level—prison systems literally use third-grade reading scores to determine how many cells they’ll need in the future!


📚 We refuse to stand by and watch this happen. Our children’s futures will NOT be written in failure and frustration. We must rewrite the narrative—starting today!

I am challenging every pastor, educator, and community leader to rise up and launch an after-school and summer reading program. Literacy is more than reading—it’s the foundation for critical thinking, self-expression, and financial independence.
