“They have filled this place with the blood of the innocent.” – Jeremiah 19:4

Gun violence is not just a crisis—it is a catastrophe, and our children are paying the price.

As we enter 2025, we are once again met with heartbreak. This past week, in Forest Hills, Texas, five-year-old R’mani Sibley and her father, Ronnie Sibley, were gunned down in broad daylight, their lives stolen by senseless violence. Their deaths are not isolated tragedies but part of a devastating pattern. Last year, six innocent children were shot in a drive-by on Las Vegas Trail. The year before, it was Lake Como. Before that, Morningside. Each year, the blood of our babies stains the streets while too many stand by in silence.

The Lord declares, “For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!” (Ezekiel 18:32). We cannot allow this cycle to continue. We cannot keep lowering our children into the ground while the weapons that destroy them remain above it. It is time to bury the bullets—not the babies.

Why We Must Bury the Bullets

Every Child Is a Gift from God

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” – Psalm 127:3

Our children are more than statistics. They are divine gifts, entrusted to us by God. Each life lost is not just a name on a list—it is a stolen future, a silenced laugh, a dream never realized. If we are truly committed to honoring God, we must protect the lives He has given us and ensure that our children grow, dream, and thrive without the looming threat of violence.

A Community Must Stand for Righteousness

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12:21

Gun violence does more than take lives—it shatters families, traumatizes communities, and breeds hopelessness. That is why, on April 4, 2025, we will gather as a Community Coalition of Compassion for a March Against the Madness through Morningside. This is more than a protest; it is a call to righteousness. We will walk as Christ walked, bearing witness to the power of love, peace, and justice. We will stand together and proclaim that we will not allow violence to rule our streets.

We Are Our Brother’s Keeper

“Am I my brother’s keeper?” – Genesis 4:9

Cain’s question still echoes today. Are we responsible for one another? The Word of God answers with a resounding yes. We cannot stand by while our communities are destroyed. We must take ownership of our neighborhoods, challenge those who bring destruction, and create spaces where our children can live free from fear.

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.” (Psalm 82:3)

Faith Requires Action

“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” – James 2:17

Our times demand it.

Our history requires it.

Our children deserve it.

And God is still watching.

Prayer alone is not enough. The Bible commands us to love our neighbors, protect the innocent, and pursue justice. To truly serve God, we must take a stand against the violence that is stealing our children’s lives.

Join Us: A Movement for Life

On April 4, 2025, we will walk together, side by side, carrying not just signs but a message:

No more buried babies. No more shattered families. No more silence.

This is more than a march—it is a movement. A movement to disarm hate, dismantle violence, and declare that our children’s lives are worth more than the weapons that destroy them.

Let us rise. Let us march. Let us bury the bullets—so we never have to bury another baby again.
