FORT WORTH — Community leaders are inviting churches, businesses, civic organizations, and individual donors to help make one of Morningside’s largest neighborhood outreach events a success. On Saturday, Aug. 8 , two community events will take place simultaneously across the street from one another, bringing together education, healthy food, local agriculture, and neighborhood revitalization in a single day of service. At House of Fadez , 1206 Glen Garden Drive, children will receive affordable $10 back-to-school haircuts , backpacks, hot dogs, drinks, and other school-year resources. Organizers also hope to provide 200 fully stocked backpacks for students and 100 My Teacher’s Helpers™ gift boxes to encourage local teachers as they prepare to welcome students back into the classroom.
